Different Drinks need Different Gas Mixes

Using a gas mixture for lager, stout, and cider dispensing provides a creamier, longer-lasting head and, in general, improves the appearance of the beer being dispensed. It also reduces fobbing and ensures a faster dispense.

Depending on the drink type, you will need a different gas mixture:

  • Premium stouts and ales: 30% carbon dioxide in nitrogen
  • Soft drinks & lagers: food grade carbon dioxide
  • Bright, highly-carbonated premium lagers and ciders: 60% carbon dioxide in nitrogen

Fit & Forget drinks gas system

The CarboStore™ CO₂ storage system is the perfect alternative to cumbersome high-pressure gas cylinders. It is composed of a refillable CO₂ mini tank and, if needed, a self-generating nitrogen source for mixed gases. It can also connect with soft drink dispense and other cellars to create one system.
