Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) is a technique used to obtain an infrared spectrum of absorption or emission from a solid, liquid or gas. An FTIR spectrometer simultaneously collects high-spectral-resolution data over a wide spectral range.

Typical gases used in FTIR are nitrogen and zero air for purging and gas mixtures for calibration.

Nitrogen BIP® Technology
